Turkey's coach Giovanni Guidetti congratulates Italy for playing impressive volleyball.
Macau, Macau, July 16, 2017 – Italy capped their perfect weekend with an impressive straight-set victory over Turkey.
Davide Mazzanti, coach of Italy: "In terms of our team’s performance we played even better today than in the last two days. The most important thing for us is that we managed to cut out some of the mistakes, and to win this leg in Macao has significantly improved our chances of qualifying for the Finals.”
Cristina Chirichella, captain of Italy: "We are happy with the result, especially because we have won this round in Macao. We are improving on our game every day and we will do our best to keep working on it.”
Giovanni Guidetti, coach of Turkey: "In the past three days they have played playing impressive volleyball and have been very stable in every part of the game. The difference between us and them is really huge and I am upset because there were times in the last two games against USA and China when we played at a high level, but today we could not show what we are capable of. Many congratulations to Italy on teaching us a good lesson.”
Fatma Yildirim, captain of Turkey: "We started the match poorly and could not recover from our mistakes and get back into the game. This weekend is finished, we will try to recover from this and look forward to our games in Thailand.”
