Netherlands' Morrison: "We are still fighting for the title"

 

The Netherlands guatanteeded the last spot in Nanjing

Cuiabá, Brazil, July 23, 2017- Dutch coach Jamie Morrison celebrated his team's victory against Belgium as the Netherlands progress to the FIVB Volleyball World Grand Prix Finals in Nanjing from August 2 to 6.

Netherlands coach Jamie Morrison said: "I am very happy with this weekend. We did a very good job and achieved our goal, the Final 6. It was a great experience playing in this gymnasium, the supporters are amazing, the atmosphere was fantastic."
 

Netherlands captain Maret Balkestein-Grothues said: "We knew that the game against Belgium would be hard, they have a very good potential. Besides that, there was a big pressure because we had to win to be in Nanjing. We are still fighting for the title." Belgium
coach Gert Vande Broek said: "We lost the three games here but I must say that my team is improving week by week. We lost against three teams that will be at the Final Six but I am sure that we did a good job. We pushed game by game to be better and better."
