Cameroon are set to take on Algeria on July 7, the first day of the World Grand Prix Group 3 Preliminary Round.

According to a report by allafrica.com, the likes of Christelle Nana Tchoudjang, Stephanie Fotso, Laetitia Moma, Simone Bikatal and Henriette Koulla are looking forward to the competition.

Attacker Laëtitia Moma Bassoko is ranked at the top of the "Elite Feminine," the equivalent of Pro B in France. Moma and her teammates were guaranteed a place in the playoffs.

A strong will and solid temperament can be found in the other three Cameroonians in the Elite division. Christelle Nana Tchoudjang, Stephanie Fotso and Abdoulkarim Fawziya are second in the Elite rankings in France.

Unlike Moma, the Chamalieroises Panthers suffered two defeats as they looked to rise from the Elite division to Ligue A. In the French Cup, they were able to beat rivals Albi 3-0.

In Pool B of this same women's Elite Championship, the return of Simone Berthrade Bikatal was reassuring for her teammates at USG Bordeaux Merignac. They were fifth in the standings with five victories out of nine.

Setter Henriette Koulla of Entente Saint Chamond in Nationale 2, won her 10th league game, which was good enough to keep her team second in the standings. Meanwhile Danielle Kwedi is appearing for Argentueil Volleyball club.

These Cameroonian women and others are giving a boost to their respective teams and leagues, and will bring a spark to the World Grand Prix Group 3 later in the year.
