Orduna names 20-player squad in build up to World Grand Prix

 

Argentina coach Guillermo Orduna is preparing his team for a busy season ahead

Lausanne, Switzerland, April 19, 2017 – Argentina coach Guillermo Orduna has named a squad of 20 for the 2017 international season. He also named the squad for the Argentina under-23 team. 

Argentina begin their 2017 FIVB Volleyball World Grand Prix campaign by hosting matches against Canada, Croatia and Poland in Neuquen on July 7-9. They will also take part in the Japan 2018, FIVB Volleyball Women’s World Championship Asian Qualifier, the South American Championships from August 12-18 and the Pan-American Cup. 

Before then they will face the Netherlands, China and hosts Switzerland at the Montreux Volley Masters from June 5-11. 

“The squad may be completed or modified following our work with the under-23, youth and other age groups,” Orduna said. “We will continue to observe them and ensure that they are able to integrate with the senior team.”


Argentina’s U23 team have already qualified for the Slovenia 2017, FIVB Volleyball Women’s U23 World Championship. The tournament will take place in capital Ljubljana September 10-17.
