Shinnabe shines as Japan beat Brazil in stunning five-set match

Sendai, Japan, July 15, 2017 - Japan and Brazil delivered a volleyball marathon lasting for more than two hours with Japan eventually having the upper hand 3-2 (25-22, 26-24, 19-25, 20-25, 17-15) in the opening match on day 3 in Sendai.

Risa Shinnabe finished as the game’s top scorer with 22 points, followed by her teammate Sarina Koga with 21. Rosamaria Montibeller provided massive scoring for Brazil with 19 points, trailed by Tandara Caixeta with 17.
