Szakmary leads Hungary to win three in a row

 

Greta Szakmary of Hungary led her squad on offence and defence to sweep their matches in Pool A3 of the 2017 FIVB Volleyball World Grand Prix

Aguascalientes, Mexico, July 9, 2017 – Hungary showed top form to extend its winning run in Pool A3, with a 3-0 (25-21, 25-22, 25-18) win over hosts Mexico in the 2017 FIVB Volleyball World Grand Prix at Poliforum Universitario Morelos on Sunday.

Greta Szakmary top scored for Hungary for the third time with 14 points. Szakmary led the European side on defence, as she mounted four of her team's 12 blocks. Lizbeth Sainz led Mexico with 10 points.

Hungary are enjoying a great debut in the World Grand Prix, with three victories so far in Group 3. Mexico’s loss to Hungary put them in second place after winning their first two matches in the pool.
