Marlena was born on January 2nd 1992. She is the 2nd setter of the Polish national senior team. She was born to a sports family - her father is a former soccer player of Lech Poznan - 1st division club. As a child she used to play tennis and practice swimming. After a successful season of 2015/2016 in the Palac Bydgoszcz club she was convocated to the senior national team to play as a 2nd setter.
