Colombia beats Kazakhstan after studying their tactics

Post-match press conference

Suwon, Korea, July 23, 2017 – Both teams played well in the FIVB Volleyball World Grand Prix 2017 match between Kazakhstan and Colombia, but the South Americans had studied the opponents’ tactics well, which helped them win.

Antonio Rizola Neto, coach of Colombia: “Kazakhstan’s coach did a very good job leading his team. We played against them last week and we had a chance to study their tactics. We learned all of their tactics. It was our goal to win at least one game, and I am glad that we finished the competition with 4 wins.”

Maria Alejandra Marin, captain of Colombia: “We are happy for today’s victory. Kazakhstan had many different tactics in attack. We focused hard and showed all that we prepared. Our team is composed of very young players and I hope this works as an opportunity for them to gain more experience.”
