Hiruela spikes against the Puerto Rican double block

Varazdin, Croatia, July 22, 2017 - Camila Hiruela Tapia and Tanya Acosta were the leading players for Argentina in the team’s second FIVB Volleyball World Grand Prix 2017 victory. After arriving in Croatia with a six-defeat record, the South American squad made it two in a row with a 3-0 (25-21, 25-15, 25-21) shutout of Puerto Rico on Saturday, their first ever out of the four World Grand Prix encounters with the Caribbean side.

Hiruela and Acosta were the best scorers of the match with 15 points each. Hiruela made an excellent all-round performance with two aces, three kill blocks and 10 spikes. While Lucia Fresco added another 10 points to Argentina’s tally, none of Puerto Rico’s players reached the double digits in scoring.
