Ostrava, Czech Republic, July 29, 2017 – From the middle of the third set on, Yeon Koung Kim was unstoppable, the Germans admitted after wasting a 2-0 lead to lose to Korea in the first Group 2 semifinal of FIVB Volleyball World Grand Prix 2017.

Hong Sungjin, coach of Korea: "It was a difficult start for us in this match. We are still kind of tired from exhausting matches we played before this tournament and from travelling. Germany played with concentration and it was not easy after losing two sets. But we finally found the key to improve our game, and we managed to take a 3-2 victory. We are very happy. It is an important win for us."

Yeon Koung Kim, captain of Korea: "Germany started well in this match. They had good tactics, which put us under a lot of pressure. We lost the first two sets and then we changed setters and tried to do something different in serving. We improved our reception, which helped us calm down and turn it over from 0-2 to 3-2."
