Poland’s team celebrate a point during the match with Colombia
Suwon, Korea, July 21, 2017 –
Berenika Tomsia and
Malwina Smarzek were
Poland’s leading players in the team’s FIVB Volleyball World Grand Prix 2017 victory over
Colombia. The European squad crushed the South American opponents with a speedy 3-0 (25-15, 25-14, 25-16) shutout in the first ever World Grand Prix encounter between the two countries.
Tomsia and Smarzek became the best scorers of the match with 15 points each.
Dayana Segovia was Colombia’s most prolific player, scoring 12 times in the game.
