Russia’s offence, her team put a stop to a four-match losing streak at the world level against
China. In an FIVB Volleyball World Grand Prix 2017 Group 1 encounter, held in Hong Kong, the Russians managed a 3-1 (25-23, 22-25, 25-18, 28-26) victory over the hosts of this year’s finals.
Voronkova was the most prolific spiker of the match, piling up 19 points in attack for a total of 20 in the match. Her teammate
Kseniia Parubets was the best scorer of the game with 22 points, including four kill blocks. China’s
Xiaotong Liu played only in the first three sets, but still led her team’s scorers with 15 points.
