Briefly Japan held a qualifying spot after critical wins on Saturday over Serbia and Sunday over Russia - both in five sets.

But defending champions Brazil produced a brilliant performance to defeat USA before more than 10,000 fans in Cuiaba in four sets and the Netherlands followed suit with a stressful win in five nail-biting sets over winless Belgium.

The deciding matches completed the puzzle of the Final Six which sees reigning Olympic champions China host Rio 2016 silver medallists Serbia, reigning world champions and Rio 2016 bronze medallists USA, defending World Grand Prix champions Brazil, plus the Netherlands and Italy in Nanjing from August 2 to 6.

Meanwhile, Korea topped Group 2 and will be travelling to Ostrava next weekend where the Czech Republic will also be hosting Germany and Poland for the Final Four.
