Argentina will travel to Neuquen on Friday to host the World Grand Prix for the fourth consecutive time

Buenos Aires, Argentina, June 28, 2017 - The Argentina national women’s team will travel to the host city of Neuquen on Friday, as they gear up for their seventh consecutive participation in the FIVB Volleyball World Grand Prix Group 2 competition from July 7 to 9 against Canada, Croatia and Poland.

In addition to Argentina’s consistent participation in the tournament, the country will be hosting the competition for the fourth straight year, following previous World Grand Prix competitions in Lomas de Zamora, Formosa and Tucuman.

As soon as they finish their stint at the Pan American Cup, coach Guillermo Orduna’s squad will return to their training base at CENARD on Thursday, then leave for Neuquen to play a friendly match with Croatia.

The South American and European squads will face-off at 19:00 local time on Saturday at Ruca Che Stadium. Tickets for the friendly match will be on sale to the public.

More than 3,000 children will also have a rare opportunity to play with their favourite Argentine stars, when the team plays a friendly match with students of the province on Monday, July 3.
