Szakmary shines in debut win of Hungary

 

Hungary beat Trinidad and Tobago in their FIVB Volleyball World Grand Prix debut

Aguascalientes, Mexico, July 7, 2017 – Hungary made a winning debut against Trinidad and Tobago 3-0 (25-21, 25-20, 25-16) in the 2017 FIVB Volleyball World Grand Prix Group 3 at Poliforum Cultural y Deportivo Universitario Morelos on Friday.

Szakmary led Hungary in attacks as she scored 12 points of her 13 points from the flank, while Sinead Jack top scored for Trinidad and Tobago with nine points.

Hungary and Trinidad and Tobago have met for the first time in a major competition. Hungary have faced a NORCECA side in September 1982, when they defeated Canada 3-0 at the World Championship.
