We will have better focus in the next match – Glod

Venezuela captain Desiree Glod said that they will have better focus in their match against Mexico

Caracas, Venezuela, July 14, 2017 – Hosts Venezuela lost their focus in the first set that prompted a difficult start against Algeria, but they still managed to win in straight sets and captain Desiree Glod vowed that they would have better focus in their next match.

“We are happy with the victory, knowing that we had a very long journey coming back home. Despite of some difficulties in the match, we managed to beat Algeria in straight sets. We will play with better focus tomorrow.”

Venezuela coach Iosvanny Chambers:
“We know for sure that after we left Cameroon, our next match against Algeria would be tactically different. When we found our rhythm, we were able to defeat the Africans 3-0. We are feeling much better now and we have a winning attitude towards the next match against Mexico, which would put us in a position to qualify in the Final Four in Australia.”
