The 2017 edition of the FIVB Volleyball World Grand Prix will feature 32 countries competing for honours.
The Group 1 Finals will take place in Nanjing, China from August 2 to 6. The host team plus the top five ranked teams after the preliminary rounds will qualify for the final round. The final round will be played over five days following the Round-Robin system.
Number of matches
- The competition of the 2017 WGP Group 1 lasts 4 weeks with a total of 69 matches
- First, second and third week: 18 matches per week (a total of 54 matches)
- Final week: 15 matches
Preliminary Round
- Within each group the Round-Robin system will be applied, the order of the Pool composition is determined by the FIVB.
- The Berger table will be applied
Final Round
- For the final round, the host team plus the top five ranked teams after the preliminary rounds will qualify for the final round.
- The final round will be played over five days following the Round-Robin system.
- The final round will be organized in Nanjing, China.
