Puerto Rico look for repeat of 2015 win over Croatia

 

Lausanne, Switzerland, July 22, 2017 - Croatia host Puerto Rico Sunday in Varazdin as the two teams meet for the second time in FIVB World Grand Prix history after the Caribbean side won their only previous encounter 3-1 in 2015. Croatia are on a six-match losing streak and could drop seven in a row for the first time ever in the competition. Puerto Rico, meanwhile, saw Argentina put an end to their four-match winning streak Saturday. Neither team can qualify to the Group 2 Final Four.

Head-to-Head
• Croatia and Puerto Rico will meet for the second time in the World Grand Prix. Puerto Rico won the previous encounter by 3-1.
• Croatia have met NORCECA countries four times in the World Grand Prix. Besides losing against Puerto Rico they also lost against Canada in this year's World Grand Prix (3-1).
• They also booked two victories against NORCECA countries, both against Cuba (3-1, 3-0) in 2016.
