Toufarova on fire in Czechs’ general rehearsal for Group 2 finals

Richmond, Canada, July 23, 2017 – With solid contribution from Marie Toufarova, the Czech Republic won their last FIVB Volleyball World Grand Prix 2017 match before hosting the Group 2 finals in Ostrava next weekend. On Sunday, the Czechs claimed a 3-1 (25-21, 25-22, 17-25, 25-16) victory at Canada.

Toufarova and Canada’s Kyla Richey, with 16 points each, became the best scorers of the match. On the way to their fourth win in the four World Grand Prix encounters with Canada so far, the Czech Republic scored as many as 13 times directly from the serving line, as at least one ace was registered by each of their six players who attempted it during the game.
