Volleyball fever set to grow as Neuquen prepares to host World Grand Prix

Argentina and Croatia played a joint training on the official court on Tuesday

Neuquen, Argentina, July, 5, 2017 – Argentina’s thirst for top-class volleyball will be sated over the coming weekend when the city of Neuquen plays host to the FIVB World Grand Prix.

Argentina take on Canada, Croatia and Poland at the Ruca Che Arena, only three weeks after the city of Cordoba organised three days of matches in the FIVB World League.

The home team’s opponents arrived early to ensure that their preparations were in place for their opening matches in the World Grand Prix, with Croatia having played Argentina in a friendly at the venue earlier in the week.

Poland are leading the way in participation, with this season being the 13th consecutive year that they have played in the World Grand Prix. Croatia have played in three previous editions.

Argentina and Canada are familiar with one another having played each other three times before, with the Canadians having won twice and lost once.
