France coach Felix Andre shouting out instructions from the sidelines

Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago, July 16, 2017 – France coach Felix Andre said that his team had a slow start because in their tie-break win over Australia and that they need to have an aggressive start in their matches in the 2017 FIVB Volleyball World Grand Prix.

“We need to play with more aggression and focus at the start of the match. We did not start well in this match. We made some changes in the starting line-up, which I think caused our slow start, but I am satisfied that we still got the win.”

France captain Juliette Fidon: “It feels very good to win all our matches. I do not think we need to make major changes to our game, heading to the Group 3 Finals in Australia.”

Australia coach Shannon Winzer:
“Hopefully we can build on this game performance when we get home for the finals because we have to play against this same team. We were a lot more consistent on how we played and we showed that we can win sets, so we have to push some more and win matches.”

Australia captain Beth Carey: “We had a much better game today and it will help us for the finals when we get back home because we play France again. Moving forward, I think we need to have more belief in ourselves as a team.”
