Yaoundé, Cameroon, July 7, 2017 - France women team coach Felix Andre was happy to claim victory in the first ever World Grand Prix match against Venezuela.
France coach Felix Andre: I am so proud of the team, we were behind in the score throughout the game and we managed to win 3-2. I am proud of all the girls, this is incredible for us.
Venezuela coach Ihosvanny Chambers: We started the match well, but France believed in themselves and had a good comeback. This is the start of the competition. We are going to see how to change some technical items in the next game.
France player Alexandra Dascalu: It was awesome to become the best scorer of the game, it is the first time I play in the World Grand Prix and it is amazing to win. At some point the game was weird but, we knew how to find the resources to come back every time. We had not doubt even when we made mistakes and Venezuela scored, we were confident.
