Hong Kong gears up for World Grand Prix hosting duties

 

China's Olympic champions will be in action in Hong Kong in July

Lausanne, Switzerland, April 29, 2017 – Hong Kong gave its volleyball fans a taste of what to expect when it plays host to the World Grand Prix later in the year by running events in the island to inspire young players to come and watch. 

The Hong Kong Coliseum will host Rio 2016 Olympic champions China, Japan, Serbia and Russia on the weekend of July 21, 22, 23 for six matches in Pool G1. 

To promote the event Chinese players have been running volleyball workshops to students in schools across the territory and the launch press conference was held today. 

The World Grand Prix is the latest prize that Jenny Lang Ping’s side will be targeting after they won gold at the Rio de Janeiro 2016, Olympic Games.
