Shinnabe helps Japan sweep Thailand

 

Sendai, Japan, July 14, 2017 - Hosts Japan open the weekend with a four set sweep against Thailand with 3-1 (25-19, 17-25, 25-18, 25-19), as Risa Shinnabe leads the team with 20 points. 


With 18 attacks, one block and one ace, Risa Shinnabe led as the best scorer, followed by Sarina Koga who scored 18 points (16 attacks and 2 blocks). On Thailand's side Ajcharaporn Kongyot scored 15 points, including 11 attacks and four impressive blocks, while her fellow teammate Pleumjit Thinkaow added 11 spikes through the middle. 

Throughout the whole match, the set winner didn't allow the opponent so score above 20 points. Japan showed better disposition at the service line, scoring 8 points in comparison to Thailand's 3.
