Guimaraes steers his team to victory over USA and to a spot in the finals
Cuiaba, Brazil, July 23, 2017 – Brazil’s coach Jose Roberto Guimaraes acknowledged the contribution of the 11,000 fans in Cuiaba, who inspired the team to defeating USA on Sunday and qualifying for the finals of FIVB Volleyball World Grand Prix 2017.
Jose Roberto Guimaraes, coach of Brazil: "The fans here were so important for us to help reach this goal. This week we presented some better volleyball than in the previous ones. We needed to evolve and we did it in this game."
Natalia Pereira, captain of Brazil: "I must congratulate our team as we reached our main goal here. Now we must focus on the next step in China, in order to conquer another trophy."
