Bangkok, Thailand, July 22, 2017 - After defeating Dominican Republic and securing spot in Final Six, Italy admits the satisfaction. Captain Cristina Chirichella assures that their focus is still on the hard work, regardless of sure qualification for the final round.
Italy coach, Davide Mazzanti - “This match is really important for us to qualify for the final six and for our experience. I am very happy with my team’s victory today. Now we will focus on the next match against Thailand. We can improve our game against them.”Italy captain, Cristina Chirichella - “I am very happy for this result. We played close matches but we finally came out on top. We have already qualified for the Final Six. With this result, we are motivated to move on. We will try to improve our game day by day and continue hard training. I hope we will have a good result in the final round.”
Dominican Republic coach, Marcos Kwiek - “Today was a very tough game. Italy are a strong team with good spikers. We didn’t show our best performance today. I think we played better in the yesterday’s match against Thailand. We will try to reduce our mistakes and play better against Turkey Tomorrow.”
Dominican Republic setter, Niverka Dharlenis Marter Frica - “I am quite disappointed with our performance today. We lost because we didn’t play well today. We will prepare and focus on the next match against Turkey tomorrow.
