Kaliningrad, Russia, Jun 14, 2017 – Celeste Plak of the Netherlands scored a whopping 21 points in the three sets it took her team to see off Belgium on Friday.
Kaja Grobelna was Belgium’s top scorer with 13.
In the first set the score was tied until 18-all. At this point the Netherlands build a slight lead which they managed to hang on to, and finish the set, 25-22. The second set saw the Oranje get the upper hand a bit earlier at 14-10. Belgium had no answer for their opponents’ powerful spikes and conceded the set, 25-19.
The third set saw more of the same with the Netherlands taking charge at 15-13. They never looked back after that with a clever tip finishing the match with 25-21 in the third.
