We want to qualify for the Finals in China and this result against Belgium was the first step to achievieng our goal. The fans were also amazing today and helped our team the entire game. Tomorrow we will have a decisive game against the Netherlands and our fans will be one more time really important.

Belgium coach Gert Vande Broek: The Brazilian block made the difference, they scored 15 points and we just did two. I think we played well. We took some risks and the spectators witnessed a good match. It was an intense game.

Belgium captain Charlotte Leys: It is incredible to play here in Brazil, there are so many fans of volleyball here. The first set we showed that we could level up the game, but Brazil is more experienced than we are. In at the second and the third set they played better.
