Brazil have won the World Grand Prix a record 12 times - twice the number of titles claimed by the United States, who are the second most successful country in the competition.
Nanjing, China, August 6, 2017 - Brazil successfully defended their title in the FIVB Volleyball World Grand Prix, following their 3-2 (26-24, 17-25, 25-22, 22-25, 15-8) win over Italy in the gold medal match on Sunday.
Brazil claimed their record 12th World Grand Prix title and will claim their 19th medal, which is also a competition record. Last year, Brazil won the final against USA in five sets in Bangkok, Thailand.
