 ZHANG Changning was born 1995 in Jiangsu province. Her father, ZHANG Yousheng, was a Volleyball player for China National Men’s Team in 1980s, and her brother, ZHANG Chen, is an active attacker for China National Men’s Team. She was an excellent student when she was young and showed great talent in Volleyball at an early age. In 2009, ZHANG Changning was selected into China Beach Volleyball Team and honed her basic volleyball skills. In 2013, she was 1.95 high and played for indoor Volleyball. In 2014, ZHANG Changning was selected by the National Women’s Volleyball Team and won the silver medal of 2014 World Women’s Championship, gold medal of 2015 Asian Women’s Championship. She is good at the position of attacker and wing spiker. As a member of China Women's Team she got the gold medal of 2016 Rio Olympic Games and she is also the key player of Jiangsu Club which won the Champion of 2016-2017 National league.
