 Bethania De la Cruz,
Captain

Captain Bethania De la Cruz is back into full
strength after a splendid season that saw her playing a leading role with
Russian League champions Dinamo Moscow.

The prolific scorer has rehabilitated her
powerful right shoulder two years after going through a rotator-cuff surgery
and once again is considered as one of the most dangerous spikers in the
business.

Bethania is one of a handful of players who
have scored more than 50 points in a single match, twice achieving the feat in
a one-week period playing for Denso Airybees in 2012 as she amassed 51 against
JT Marvelous and 54 against Hisamitsu Springs.

The 30 year-old De la Cruz, who has stints in
the leagues of Puerto Rico, Japan, Korea, Turkey and Russia, established the
FIVB Women’s World Cup record for highest scoring performance in a single match
with 42 in 2011 in Japan against Germany.
