Brenda Castillo has been recognized as one of
the best libero players in the world not only for her cat-like agility and
aggressive style but for the smooth hands she possesses.

The 25 year-old Dominican has displayed her
talents since she emerged to the international ranks in 2009 when she was
selected the Most Valuable Player at the U20 FIVB World Championship in
Tijuana, Mexico playing for the silver-medalists Dominican Republic.

Castillo played at the 2012 London Olympic
Games where she finished as the best player among the players of her defensive
position at the women’s tournament.

The highly-touted Castillo played for Caguas in
Puerto Rico in 2011 before moving to the Azerbaijan League for four years
–three with Rabita and one with Lokomotiv. She just finished her first season
in Brazil playing for Bauru where she was elected the best libero of the
season.
