Casilla powers Dominicans to comeback win over hosts Thailand

Bangkok, Thailand, July 21, 2017 – With five aces by Gina Altagracia Mambru Casilla, the Dominican Republic stunned Thailand and their boisterous fans with a fantastic 3-2 (17-25, 25-21, 24-26, 25-21, 15-7) comeback victory in an FIVB Volleyball World Grand Prix 2017 Pool H match, to keep their hopes of advancing to the Nanjing finals alive. This was the Dominicans’ second victory in this year’s World Grand Prix edition and third overall in the five encounters between these two nations in the history of the competition.

Casilla top scored with 25 points for the winning team, while Brayelin Elizabeth Martinez contributed another 19 point. Chatchu-On Moksri also aced five times to lead Thailand with a total of 23 points.
