China and Serbia in second rematch of Rio 2016 final

Lausanne, Switzerland, August 5, 2017 - China host Serbia Sunday in Nanjing for the bronze medal of the 2017 FIVB World Grand Prix. It's the second time this season the two sides come head-to-head in a rematch of the Rio 2016 Olympics final which the Asian team won in four sets. Overall it's eighth world Grand Prix match in the China v Serbia rivalry, with Serbia leading the series 4-3.

• They have met in Group 1 earlier in this World Grand Prix on 23 July 2017 with Serbia winning 3-1.

• No country have won more than two bronze medals without winning a silver or gold.
• Serbia lost in the semifinal to Brazil (3-1) and can lose back-to-back World Grand Prix matches for the first time since four in a row in 2015 (last match) and 2016 (first three).
