Lloyd says USA's continual adjustments are working well

USA captain Carli Lloyd is pleased with the adjustments her team have been making

Kunshan, China, July 09, 2017 - In a good battle between two strong teams, USA managed to stay unbeaten with a third successive win at the FIVB Volleyball World Grand Prix 2017 and be top of Pool B1 after their 3-0 (25-22,25-22,25-21) win over China.

Karch Kiraly, USA coach: "It's an extremely exciting match. It's very difficult to play against a team like China, but we did well. And we won the game because we trust each other. They don't have Zhu on the court, which made things a little bit easier for us."

Carli Lloyd, USA captain: "I'm really happy to win this match. We know that China is a strong team and we just stayed together and we made some really good adjustments from last night to tonight. This is what we are trying to do all the time."

An Jiajie, China coach: "Congratulations to the USA. They did a very good job tonight, both offensively and defensively. We have many young players and they are all very talented. I believe that they will learn a lot from this match."

Yuan Xinyue, China player: "Tonight they are better than us. They keep pushing us away, forcing us to make some mistakes. It's quite sad that I cannot help my teammates on the court, but I think they all did a good job tonight. I believe they will be stronger, physically and mentally."
