Polen Uslupehlivan leads Turkey to first victory of season

Ankara, Turkey, July 8, 2017 – After dropping the first set, Polen Uslupehlivan and Turkey pleased the hometown fans by defeating Belgium 3-1 (23-25, 25-20, 25-20, 25-16) on Saturday. It was the first win of the season for Turkey, after losing to Serbia on Friday.

Uslupehlivan led all scorers with 19 points, including three blocks. Fatma Yildirim added 15 points for Turkey, while Kubra Caliskan had 13 points, including five blocks. Celine Van Gestel had 14 points for Belgium.
