Czechs seek first world win over Germans in 43 years

Lausanne, Switzerland, July 29, 2017 - The Czech Republic host Germany Sunday in Ostrava for the bronze medal of Group 2 in the 2017 FIVB World Grand Prix. But the Czechs have not beaten Germany in a world competition since the 1974 FIVB World Championship. This is the second time the two sides clash this season, after Germany beat the Czech Republic in pool play last week in Richmond in straight sets.
